Snapshot

Kentucky Democrats didn't draw much encouragement from primary elections. Their chosen U.S. Senate candidate, political neophyte Lois Combs Weinberg, had to wait for a week to learn that a re-canvass showed her defeating a coincidental congressman by less than a thousand votes. Weinberg outspent former 1st District Rep. Tom Barlow 100-1.
