Candidate Information
Meet the Candidate
Ray Tricomo moved to Oakdale from Michigan in 1994. He is founder and director of KALPULLI, which means "turtle island multiversity." Kalpulli is apparently the name that a certain tribe of Native Americans used to call North America. This organization's goal is to buy land to set aside for ecological preservation, to ultimately return it to Native Americans. His major positions include raising taxes on wealthy people/redistribution of wealth, and a strong belief that George W. Bush was illegitimately elected. Tricomo was a guest on MPR's Midday on March 4, 2002. ( Listen)
