MINNESOTA SENATE RACE
The classic clash between liberal and conservative forces is playing itself out between this year's top candidates for US Senate in Minnesota. Invitations to a chat and to the Minnesota Democracy Projects "E-Debate" are included on this compendium of materials from MPR's '96 election coverage.

MONEY AND POLITICS
Are candidates and parties able to buy their way into power? We offer a series of audio reports from public radio stations around the country along with links that analyze the issue. And you're invited to a live national chat on the subject Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 6 pm CT when MPR's John Biewen and his guests address campaign finance reform. (To participate, go to Soundprint Chat; no special software is required, but you will need Netscape 2.0 or higher.)

ELECTION ADVERTISING
Political advertising has become an issue in its own right. Review our collection of commercials from campaigns past and present and share your conclusions. And peruse insiders' perspectives in the transcript of a recent chat on the topic.

DEBATES
Debates with US Congressional candidates in District 1 and District 2 are presently scheduled, and you're invited to help shape the issues.

Watch here for details on other broadcast and online debates as they are confirmed.
