POLL METHODOLOGY
The St. Paul poll was conducted June 24-25, 1999 by Mason-Dixon Polling &
Research, Inc. of Washington, D.C. A total of 417 registered voters in the
city were interviewed by telephone. Those interviewed were selected
through the random dialing of phone numbers, utilizing a cross-section of
city exchanges. The margin for error is plus or minus 5%. This means that
there is a 95% probability that the "true" figure would fall within that
range if all voters were surveyed.
The Minneapolis poll was conducted June 28-29, 1999 by Mason-Dixon Polling
& Research, Inc. of Washington, D.C. A total of 408 registered voters in
the city were interviewed by telephone. Those interviewed were selected
through the random dialing of phone numbers, utilizing a cross-section of
city exchanges. The margin for error is plus or minus 5%. This means that
there is a 95% probability that the "true" figure would fall within that
range if all voters were surveyed.
