6th District
The 6th district is the poster child for the power of the suburban voter. It has grown substantially as the suburbs around Saint Paul and Minneapolis have grown, and begun to wield more political power. Some of the cities included in this district are Anoka, Woodbury, Stillwater, Eagan and Apple Valley. The older communities have been traditionally Democrat. But the fast-filling East-metro communities have a Republican tinge. It is , perhaps, Minnesota's most volatile district.
