Votes Tuesday as the House, on a 63-70 vote, declined to consider a proposal to scrap all 10th-grade writing test results. A yes vote was to consider scrapping the tests. Voting yes were 21 Republicans, 41 Democrats and 1 independents. Voting no were 48 Republicans, 22 Democrats and 0 independents. Not voting were 1 Republican, 0 Democrats and 0 independents.
