	Ralph Latham, 73, is a retired community college English professor. He moved to rural Cook County, Minnesota, near Grand Marais in 1992 to enjoy retirement by communing with Lake Superior, bicycling, XC skiing, reading, writing poetry, playing saxophone, canoeing, and socializing with people. Married for 47 years, he has two children and three grandchildren.
