St. Paul Mayoral Race



Jerry Blakey
Jerry Blakey was elected to the St. Paul City Council in 1993 and represents the city's 1st Ward, including the Summit-University, Thomas-Dale, Hamline-Midway, and Lexington-Hamline neighborhoods. Blakey and 12 siblings grew up on a farm near Lindstrom, Minnesota. He is a graduate of Macalaster College in St. Paul and formerly worked for the Deluxe Corporation. He chairs the St. Paul/Minneapolis Finance Committee and sits on other boards including the Family Housing Fund, Minnesota League of Cities, and Public Art Saint Paul. He and his wife live on Milton Street, where they have one daughter and are adopting two more children.
