Loving Che

St. Paul, Minn. — The image of Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara has spilled across tee-shirts and dorm-room posters for almost half a century—but who was he? Writer Ana Menendez explores that question in her novel "Loving Che." It tells the story of a young Cuban-American woman who learns through letters and photographs from her estranged mother, that she is the daughter of Fidel Castro's fellow revolutionary. She travels from Miami to Cuba to find her mother, and she hopes, the truth. The book is filled with pictures of Guevara in Cuba. It also includes a picture of him after he was shot and killed.
