The art of Nina Hole
by Euan Kerr, Minnesota Public Radio
October 8, 2004
Nina Hole is a Danish artist who builds huge clay sculptures which act as their own kiln. She developed a way of extruding sheets of clay which are strong enough to support their own weight, and can be used to build large structures quickly. She also developed a system to direct rising hot air inside a piece to make sure everything heats evenly. Recently, she unveiled a piece of her work and this Flash presentation documents the evening.
