Happy campers
Even though lots of state government is not working, lots of people are happy and unaffected by the shutdown. They are campers who were able to use state park campgrounds for the long holiday weekend. The Legislature and governor passed a bill to keep parks open. One of them, Jay Cooke State Park near Duluth, was nearly full on Friday. Mainstreet Radio's Stephanie Hemphill talked with a few of the folks camping there, about the extra suspense involved in this year's July Fourth holiday. A Flash presentation will show below. If it does not, download the Macromedia Flash Player.
