<Previous1 2 3 Next>

This is what Fibrowatt's proposed turkey litter burning power plant in Benson might look like. Company officials say they'll buy 500-thousand tons of turkey litter, a mix of turkey manure and wood chips, from area farmers every year. They'll burn the litter to make 50 megawatts of electricity which will be sold to Exel Energy. Fibrowatt officials hope the plant will be making power by February of 2006.
