Clare House is named for St. Clare of Assisi, who co-founded the Order of Poor Ladies, or Clares, around 1212.
The plaque reads, "Clare of Assisi,
Bless this house and all who dwell in it.
Keep it safe, and let healing be experienced in it
By both the sick and those who care for them." (MPR Photo/Greta Cunningham)
