The Ethiopian government claims the attack against the Anuak was due to ethnic tension. On Dec. 13, 2003, unknown attackers sprayed this vehicel carrying eight highlanders with bullets, killing all the occupants. Anuak separatists were blamed for the killings. A mob mainly composed of highlanders started attacking Anuak neighbors in revenge. |
