Mesabi Nugget has tested promising new technology to produce a high iron nugget in Minnesota. Similar in size to taconite pellets, nuggets will have a much higher iron content. Mesabi Nugget is planning a demonstration plant at a site near Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota.
