First Hour: An update on the budget agreement at the Minnesota Capitol and what's happening at the Legislature with DFL Assistant Senate Majority leader Sen. John Hottinger and Assistant House Majority Leader GOP Rep. Dan McElroy. (call-in) (no tapes)

Second Hour: A Common Place Memorial Day special. The program is the story of four World War II chaplains who went down together with their torpedoed ship in 1943. Plus a conversation with Bruce Weigl, a Vietnam veteran who writes poetry.

Dr. William Dement, author of The Promise of Sleep and director of Stanford's Sleep Disorders Center speaks at the Commonwealth Club of California.
