Consider the future of New Ulm
New Ulm is dealing with a lot of issues discussed on this page. Fortunately New Ulm is big enough to attract large business, when so many small towns have lost everything. Unfortunately this is the blessing and the curse. Big enough for Target and Wal-Mart to come to town, but small enough so that when the big box retailers come to town, small businesses fail. A friend and I have posted a website to discuss some of these issues with links and studies you can download.

There is no place for Wal-Mart in planning for the future of small towns. A Wal Mart in New Ulm would help suck businesses out of the many wonderful cities surrounding it.
