Snapshot

Democratic Sen. Jay Rockefeller faces former GOP state Sen. Jay Wolfe in his bid for election to a fourth term in November. Rockefeller is not expected to have any problems with Wolfe. In fact, the ex-governor did very little advertising for the May primary, and wiped out two opponents with about 90 percent of the vote. He spent only about $125,000 of his $1.9 million campaign chest at the time. Wolfe, an insurance agent from Harrison County, collected 62 percent of the vote in the GOP primary.
