Game of inches The aim of curling is to get as many of your stones as possible to the center of the "house," the target rings painted under the ice. Score is taken at the end of each "end," after each of the four players on both sides has thrown two stones. Only one team can score at a time. At the Olympic level, games are played for up to ten "ends." At this level of curling inches really matter. A two-hour game can be decided by one stone. MPR Photo/Euan Kerr |
